NOTE: I've stopped uploading videos myself due to the multitude of other users doing so. Sorry for the lack of updates, this channel will now act as a sort of "curator" of Charlie Brooker material. Thanks.

Charlie Brooker explores the gulf between real life and television. From kids shows to Countdown, TV has something to infuriate anyone of any age. NOTE: Just to clear the mass confusion about the sitcom starring Kevin Eldon, it is fake. It is a sketch demonstrating Charlie's opinion about the stupidity of sitcoms aimed at teenagers today.

2024 here, turns out 2011 was just an aperitif
As an American child I was unnerved by the relatively benign Muppet, Sesame Street, and Mr. Roger's puppet characters... had I met with these British puppet counterparts in my youth I would surely have been severely more disturbed and my adult mind even more addled... condolences to my cousins across the sea 🫡
The made in Chelsea bits were hilarious, Jaime playing James Lange Murdoch seemed fitting haha
The vintage television looks like satire to me - but then again, so does all television.
More medieval...sickening. But thank you for uploading this scary time document. (Unwatchable if it wasn't for Charlie and crew)
Medieval
4:41 That really got my dad and his friend!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ahhhh here we go again.
Did anyone ever say people werent happy when bin laden died?
The egg sequence wasn't long enough, I was still studying the room.
By the way the game endorfun with subliminal messages had messages like "I feel joyful now" "I love being alive" "I can do anything". And you could set the messages to full volume so you could hear them and know what they say.
Ah Milo, the absolute scam that never existed.
Why is being naked empowering? Rather than say, getting a job they want, overcoming an addiction or phobia, learning a new language or learning a new skill. It's not but it gets viewers who want an eye full.
The thing with deal or no deal is no one would gamble that much in any other circumstance. The show itself creates an unreality where they don't connect with what they're actually doing. I don't know if it is Edmunds' weird metaphysical ideology or simply being on TV or not being able to see the money. In their everyday life I bet they would take 20k over a 1 in 5 chance of something better without much thought.
I have cried due to video games. I forget which but I have. Maybe it was one of the plague tale games.
Why would you get that mawkish psychic in and not say, a child psychologist? Or a doctor? If she is crying a lot maybe she's in pain or you're doing something to trigger her or she has autism or something.
The US pimp my ride was an absolute scam it seems. Those werent the poeple's houses or cars (sometimes), they made them do their reactions and lines over and over, the things they put in the cars were often unusable nonsense, it took them about 8 months to do the car, xhibit didn't get paid, and the most egregious thing was often that the cars had not had their mechanical faults fixed, so really the car was just as bad but with a bunch of gordy baubles on them. One guy had the steering wheel come off in his hand while he was driving his recently "pimped" car.
I am weirdly reassured that something like hi 5 exists. If I ever find myself teetering on the precipice of oblivion at least I know I can go search for 20 somethings going on about how much they love their dogs or their favorite ice creams.
Jeremy Kyle was pure evil on that show.
The time they has the Dalai Llama judging masterchef was completely absurd.
Konnie was always the coolest Blue Peter person
I’ve watched this so many times over the years and Reginald D Hunter saying “why can’t you just say fuckin stairs?!” gets me every time
Can anyone tell me the name of the piece of music that plays between 00:04 - 02:00 (basically the backing over the Nicholas Parsons piece). I've heard it being used on a few episodes of Screenwipe and just never managed to find out what it is. I've been through the Spotify playlist that Charlie made up but can't seem to find it in there.
We have seen Huw Edward's bum on the news now
Nicely done. Brooker has done it again, first the PM fucking a pig, now Huw Edward’s bum.
Man I wish there was a god damn HD version of this available to buy.
1:40 BP hasn't been British for decades.
Sweet Christmas RTD is a prick.
I love that Liza Tarbuck is talking about a rat with a boat living in a riverbank and the first book she thinks of to compare it to is The Hobbit rather than The Wind In The Willows.
Talk about bad timing; just as I finished part 1 of this episode and the implied BJ scene cropped up it cut to black and RUclips decided to show me a normally pretty innocent Müller corner advert about a teacher feeling awkward about licking the creamy yoghurt in front of a bunch of kids.
The bit in which Brooker predicts that the impact of the "credit crunch" will last a whole 5 years is depressing in light of what actually happened.
Charlie’s nightmare about Quigg is one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen. It’s so stupidly hilarious
When you hear the words “the least eventful year in human history” in 2023 and wish we could go back to such mundane nothingness.
Little did we know then that within the decade the whole Death-Star of shit would explode as governments acted like their own population were the enemy. And sought to engage in a joyless orgy of fun-fisting taking away civil liberties and forcing experimental snake oil into the arms of perfectly healthy people. Engaging in the reproductive maiming of children and making vacant-eyed drones out of your friends and family.
PHILIP SCHOFIELD?
06:10 “One of the most depressing sights this side of ‘Guernica’”…. That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard.
This here was the first time I ever saw Limmy.
I would love to know what Charlie thinks about GPT
Audrey needs to be sent to Military School
wonder if those early vlogging vids are still on here from all those years ago. Surreal how there talking about it being the next new thing
4:23 what an awesome job he must have
heh 53:44
One game made me cry or should I say lack of a game.... half-life3
I appreciate opinions.... if they coincide with mine! Liberals in a nutshell.
I come from the future to say RIP Robbie Coltrane.
"I'm 30 years old, but I look about 9"
6:15 - 8:55 It's amazing how far ahead of time Charlie Brooker was with Jeremy Kyle.
the royal funeral queue brought me back here for the Philip Schofield Paul Ross rectal examination scene (at 56m 30). Classic tv
Hey @zthemusic, you've made my life so much better by uploading these. I love you, thanks!
3:28 Holy shit, this is not where I would've expected to hear part of Philip Glass's Koyaanisqatsi...
"Look, here's a bum we showed you"
